A Scandinavian Home In Italy
It isn’t easy to bring the native style of a specific country and blend it into a house in a different country. While it might seem impossible, one Niki Brantmark is professional who has brought her native Scandinavian home style to different cities. For instance, she incorporated her Swede living in this home in Italy.
The house is located in a tiny village, 30 minutes from Milan city. Niki lives with her Italian husband, along with their three children. The design of the house is what makes it outstanding.
The Scandinavian Style
Niki has brought her native Swede living in this Italy-based home, and the major aspect is the multiple decorations of rustic elements, along with understated furniture. The walls are painted white to give the house an airy look, which is also accompanied by green plants in different areas.
Also, there are basket chandeliers hanging from the ceiling to enhance the aesthetic aspect. She has not included drapes and curtains on the windows, probably to allow more natural light to flow in the house. However, there is a thick gray curtain on the door that leads to the balcony.
Bringing in the outside
Other than the multiple green plants used all around the house, the house utilizes natural light to the maximum. There are several large windows that bring in natural light to brighten up the house. The house also features a balcony that overlooks a neighboring house. The balcony features the common sparkling-white theme, and there is a classy water hyacinth couch that embraces the environment friendliness.
The bedroom maintains the white theme, with a round pendant over the bed, and a hanging pendant on one side of the bed. It has a simple style, but it looks quite elegant. The living room features cozy gray sofas that complement the white theme perfectly. Basically, the entire house features a rustic theme with a further utilization of environmental-friendly furniture and other elements.
