Fresh and Happy Interior
Well-appointed comfort, royalty and the color white seem to go together. In fact, this needs to be a validated fact if Stefani Stein’s Silver Lake interior décor designs are anything to go by.
The living room appears bi-segmented by the contrast of whatever is contained therein. The first part contains a comfortable brown leather sofa complemented by a combination of minimalist glass-topped coffee tables and low wooden entertainment unit by the wall, all these resting on a thick comfortable rug.
The other bit of the living room looks a lot like a lounge with two easy but very snug armchairs and an expansive bookcase that stretches the entire length of this segment. The entire living room exudes opulence probably because of the combination elaborate windows, gable roof design and the clear white color on the walls.
The design incorporates framed images and crafts; moreover, this entire layout of art assume well thought out positions so the pieces of artwork can help accentuate the cozy and organized theme that the designer seeks to create.
The kitchen and dining area, while just as cozy, somehow lack the opulence of space that the living room exhibits. That notwithstanding, the décor here is tasteful with a built-in sitting area supplementing the little dinette that sits four.
The walls in this bit of the house are bright white, a continuation of the tone set in the living room. Because of the considerably larger space in the dining area, the room has a door that leads to the garden beyond. The windows here are just as elaborate as their counterparts in the living room are.
The floor here has hexagonal tiles that blend of varying coloration from white to grey and cream. The grey here provides a subtle contrast to the dominant white color that easily is the theme of the entire house.
The same color scheme extends to the kitchen. Here, the cabinetry, painted gleaming white, has bronze handles for full effect. The countertops are grey while the faucets are bronze, another brilliant attempt at contrasting the dominant white.
The bedroom, the clear showstopper of this white-themed décor, is characterized by a regal bed, again straddled by white linen and pillows with colorful prints. The cabinetry in the bedroom replicates the design in the kitchen with white and bronze setting the tone.
This same simplicity extends to the bathrooms. However, the designer has incorporated a little more elaborate design here especially on the choice of floor tiles. The greying countertops used in the kitchen, makes a comeback, this time, as the top of the little drugs cabinet that also holds the washing sink in the bathroom.
Overall, the use of white in this house is brilliant. It defines a character of calmness aside from making the living spaces appear bigger. This house is every person’s dream abode.
